We don't sell chargers — you buy the unit that fits your vehicle (from Tesla, the manufacturer, or any retailer) and we install it. If your vehicle came with its own charger, we install that too.
Most home installs finish in 2–4 hours. Longer if the panel is far from the garage or the run requires conduit through a finished wall. Combined panel-upgrade + charger jobs are a single full day.
Most home EV charger installs in Columbia fall between $650 and $1,800, depending on distance from the panel, hardwire vs. plug-in, and whether your panel has a spare 240V slot. That covers the circuit, mounting, permit and inspection; the charger itself is customer-supplied and not included. We quote flat-rate after the on-site assessment.
Sometimes. A Level 2 charger pulls 30–48 amps continuously. If your panel is 100-amp and already loaded with HVAC + electric range + water heater, we'll check the load calculation and let you know. About 1 in 5 of our EV installs ends up bundled with a panel upgrade.
Hardwired is cleaner, allows more amperage, and is what most installers (and Tesla) recommend for new homes. NEMA 14-50 is easier to swap chargers later. Both are safe and code-compliant when installed correctly.
